Pakistan and Turkey to Establish Center of Excellence
ISLAMABAD (Wednesday October 09, 2019 by our staff reporter): Pakistan and Turkey have agreed to establish a Joint Centre of Excellence for Tourism and Hospitality Management in Islamabad. The project was agreed upon during a meeting between Pakistani and Turkish delegates led by Mr. Shafqat Mahmood, Federal Minister for Education, Professional Training and National Heritage and Dr. Serdar Çam, Deputy Minister for Culture and Tourism of Turkey respectively in Ankara.
The Turkish side was given a detailed briefing by the Pakistani delegate on the prospects and potential for tourism in Pakistan and was invited to join the Government of Pakistan’s initiatives aimed at promoting tourism in the country. The Turkish side agreed with the proposals put forward by the Pakistani delegates and an understanding was reached for establishing a joint center of excellence for promotion of tourism at Islamabad.
